CLAT stands for common law admission test. It is an all India entrance examination conducted by the national law schools or universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M). The CLAT exam is conducted on rotation, based upon the order of their establishment, by 21 national law universities (NLUS). ‘consortium of law, Bangalore’ is the designated body that assists the particular NLU with nuances of conducting tests.
